area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base

sooo, my disclaimer to this blog is that i'm a big dork and listen to NPR way too much... that being said, i was listening to the show, Fresh Air, a few weeks ago and totally eavesdropped on Terry Gross interviewing journalist and contributing editor at the Los Angeles Times Magazine, Annie Jacobsen. Jacobsen was on air promoting her latest book called Area 51... a book full of stories gathered from interviews of different people, 32 of which who actually worked and lived in the top secret land parcel.

according to Jacobsen, Area 51 has been kept tightly guarded for all these years, not because it was housing aliens and ufo's... but because it was being used for nuclear and weapon testing by the CIA, the atomic energy commission and the department of defense

"[these agencies] once used the site to conduct controversial and secretive research on aircraft and pilot-related projects, including planes that traveled three times faster than the speed of sound and nuclear-propelled, space-based missile launch systems"

so ACCORDING TO JACOBSEN'S SORCES the government did set off tons of nuclear bombs in area 51, and attempted to send nuclear missiles from outer space right to the soviet... and i'm sure there's many more juicy deets in the book, but i haven't read it yet, so i can't get into too much.  i do trust that who ever is reading this blog will go on to read the book (and the articles denying that there's no truth to the book) and come up w his or her own conclusions....

but before u leave me... there's one more note i'd like to add... the part of the interview i found the most interesting... and this is where jacobsen begins to talk about how area 51 came to fruition... again, everything jacobsen divulged was what was told to her by her unidentified source...

according to this source... this is the real story behind area 51:

in 1947 a UFO crashed in new mexico...  it was a flying disc that conspiracy theorists have always believed was from outer space... however, there's is much more to this story... and aliens don't have too much to do w it.

in 1945, josef mengele left aushewitz... apparently he was cutting his ties w the 3rd reich and met up w joseph stalin in the soviet... both men where known for their interest in human experimentation...  well after they witnessed how frantic the american public became after the airing of orson welles' "world of the worlds"... they thought of a plan to create a soft spot in America's early air-defense warning system by convincing the american people that a UFO had landed... thus creating panic and leaving us vulnerable to attack

jacobsen's source was there first hand when the flying discs were investigated after being transfered to a top secret land parcel in 1951... later to be called Area 51. he was one of only 5 engineers assigned to this project... he says that the "aliens" were actually child-sized human beings that came from the soviet's human experiment program... made to look like the aliens from "war of the worlds"... the source believes the pilots may have been around 13 yrs old, but other people at his camp thought they may have been older... but these people had been made w big heads... big eyes... small mouths... and small bodies... but they were not aliens... and the flying discs that contained the the altered children... and crashed in new mexico in 1947... was actually linked back to two more former members of the 3rd reich who were aerospace designers named walter and reimar horten... according to some declassified file, the two admitted to making the discs and having contact w russia.

why wasn't it revealed to the american people that this wasn't an alien crash? of course it would've have calmed the public... but according to the source, this was a secret never told, because america began doing exactly what stalin and mengele had done... they began experimenting on people and children to create... a counter-alien (for lack of a better word)...

do i believe any of this? it doesn't matter... this was something i found interesting and wanted to pass along... i don't put anything past our government... and many cases of human testing per our government is something that has been proved time and time again...

i dunno... something to about ;)

Akon - rap star and ignorant bastard

"i don't even believe in conflict diamonds. that's just a movie. think about it. ain't nobody thought about nothing about no conflict diamonds until the movie came out. where was all that shit before the movie? that's the problem with people - they believe everything they read or see on TV. unless you go to sierra leone and see what's going down, don't believe everything you're reading or see on TV. trust me. if anything, there's conflict oil. worry about the oil - you see what the oil is doing to people. you see what bush is doing over there... oil is conflict. when you're driving your cars, you're driving conflict fuel. it's killing thousands of people a minute. diamonds are the least of our worries."

-Akon, rap star and proud owner of a diamond mine in South Africa

okay... i've never liked akon's music, and now i think he's a disgusting person... who the hell is he to discount the lives taken and altered in sierra leone as a result of the diamond trade? i'm sure the money hungry prick couldn't look in an armless baby's face and say "sorry kid... but you're the least of our worries." F*uck him and the high horse he rode in on.

comparing the destruction of the oil industry to the destruction of the diamond industry is like trying to compare the holocaust to slavery... they were both f*cking evil! they both caused needless deaths of way too many innocent ppl. i don't think its fair to say one is something we should be concerned with and the other is chopped liver.

the civil war in sierra leone took over 100,000 lives and left more that 200,000 of its citizens as amputees, and even after 10yrs the majority of workers still only work for about a dollar a day or less... but lets just ignore all of that, right akon?

i think the funniest part of his quote is that it sounds like he's really upset about how greedy bush was when it came to oil... actually i'd respect the argument slightly if akon didn't drive a flippin' lambo!! not to mention i'm sure his oil argument stems from something he saw on tv... somehow i don't picture him actually researching anything of real substance...

anyway... this isn't a blog about blood diamonds... this is just a glance and some of the ignorance of people... the people that we let our children look up to... shoot me if i have a child so enamored with excess that he stops caring about the welfare of others

i should take a trip to sierra leone and send akon the proof of "what's really going down"

Greyhound Epiphany by Jere Mottino

i've never done this before... but i got an email from a friend of a friend and dug it... so i'm posting it =) and even though Jere wrote this while on a greyhound bus ride, its still solid...
the following words and thoughts are ones that he wants to spread to all open, radical minds ... enjoy!!!

GREYHOUND EPIPHANY
"We are ALL ONE.
The ONE is the ALL,
and the ALL is the ONE.
No man or woman is the inferior, nor the superior...
RACE, RELIGION, PRIDE, EGO, GREED...
These are all Instruments of SEPARATION.
Some of you DO NOT or WILL NOT fathom this at this time,
and that is fine.
The seed has been planted, and it is up to you to:
WATER, NURTURE, and GROW this DIVINE TRUTH...
There are no coincidences, we have all gathered here for a reason...
You chose to be born in this time, and you chose to be here to share this moment...
I am no prophet, no messiah, no "higher being"...
I think of myself more as a radio, picking up frequencies...
FREQUENCIES OF TRUTH, being broadcast by the universe...
I am merely a vessel channeling this message...
UNITY, HAPPINESS, JOY, LOVE...
These are Instruments of CONNECTION.
Some of you DO understand this, and you are truly FREE.
I congratulate you on your personal revolution...
your personal revelation...
HOWEVER,
these tools, these gifts, these ideals,
ARE NOT YOURS...
They are to be spread, like a BEAUTIFUL CANCER,
to EVERYONE, to EVERYTHING...
The human mind is a POWERFUL TOOL,
yet it can also be an UNPICKABLE LOCK...
This knowledge is the KEY...
Everyone, and everything serves a purpose...
BUT KNOW THIS...
You will never stop learning, until you DIE...
But what is death? Simply a part of life...
BEAUTY cannot, and will not last forever,
that is what makes things BEAUTIFUL...
Cherish this moment... for right now,
NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.
Yesterday is gone...
And Tomorrow isnt here...
All we have is RIGHT NOW...
All we have is OURSELVES...
We are ALL ONE.
The ONE is the ALL,
and the ALL is the ONE..." - Jere Mottino

end of the world blah blah blah

so there's lots of speculation, rumors, fears, lies, internet viral vids and hollywood blockbusters all dedicated to the theme of the end of our precious world. i have coworkers, barely there friends, and even intelligent loved ones who have all subscribed to this idea that in some way, shape or form earth is gonna rid its self of all living creatures and... i dunno... i guess start over. and what's ironic is that our society is generally pretty one track minded, but most of these conclusions are reached by illustrious cocktails of science, movies, theory, numerous religious ideas, etc.

what do i think? i think this is a bunch of el toro poop... not very mature, i know... but lets talk about this topic for a sec... maybe i'm wrong... but then maybe i'm not... here are some of what i believe are myths:

myth 1:
the Mayan calendar says the world is gonna end on dec 12, 2012...
** no not true. an article written by associate press writer, mark stevenson, in october of last year, goes on to explain that the idea of armageddon or doomsday comes from western beliefs... not mayan. sure they carved in a tablet (Monument Six) found in southern Mexico that something will happen around that date... but what is said on Monument Six is different than what's being propagandized:

"Its long count calendar begins in 3,114 B.C., marking time in roughly 394-year periods known as Baktuns. Thirteen was a significant, sacred number for the Mayas, and the 13th Baktun ends around Dec.21.2012.

'It's a special anniversary of creation,' said David Stuart, a specialist in Mayan epigraphy at the University of Texas at Austin. 'The Maya never said the world is going to end, they never said anything bad would happen necessarily, they're just recording this future anniversary on Monument Six."

i think that if anything, the Mayans are referring to a radical shift in our culture as we know it... could be political, environmental, social, educational.... we could have some awesome collective epiphany or maybe it will mark the beginning of this "Post-American" idea that i actually fully believe is possible... you know... the america that has lost its power and prestige.

anyway, its a really good article called, 2012 isn't the end of the world, Mayans insist... it can be found on lots of websites... here's one: http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/world/2009-10/11/content_8777400.htm

myth 2: Earth will go into retrograde on 12.21.2012
** dunno if its true... but "retrograde" isn't a threat. when a planet goes into retrograde, its the type of thing that anybody or thing on that particular planet is completely unaware of. a planet in retrograde can only be seen from outside of its atmosphere. retrograde is when planet A passes planet B and creates the illusion that planet B is moving backwards... its like if theres a train moving on the track and another train, moving at a faster speed, begins to pass that first train... if you're on the second train and looking out of the window, it might look like the first train is moving backwards, when its actually just moving at a slower pace and the passangers on it are totally unaffected... ummm, hope that wasn't confusing... much easier to explain in person.

myth 3: the movie 2012 is a prediction of what's to come
** okay, i shouldn't even have to go into this one... ITS A MOVIE PEOPLE!!! i'd like to think that we're not so stupid of a society that we'll believe what some money hungry producers all the way up on the industry food chain try to tell us... well actually, i know we're so stupid, because i've heard plenty of people start to believe in this 2012 Armageddon idea due to this movie... how come we didn't all believe what we saw in V For Vendetta? we didn't watch for big brother after reading 1984 or hide all of our books after reading Fahrenheit 451? and what about 2001: a Space Odyssey... or its sequel, 2010: Odyssey Two? Armageddon? we took no notes when exposed to Animal Farm... so why did we pick 2012 to believe?

myth 4?: planet X is gonna make its way into our orbit and earth will be caught in the middle of the planet X vs the sun fire war...
*** after watching the 5 part youtube mini doc about planet X, i gotta say... i don't believe it at all. not based off of what i've seen anyway. i still have my own research to do on this topic, but i'm not at all moved by what i've heard and seen so far. the youtube video offers no solid proof of what they're trying to convence people of. they use science to discuss the alleged planet.... then they quote the bible to speculate proof from the past... then they say that the people the government wants to survive will be housed underground... but then go on to say that the government will be declaring martial law and rove the streets, above ground, with tanks... but somehow people will be able to drive away until the streets are destroyed... or people can retreat to the mountains and live off the land for survival, even though this information was preceded with the information that the planet will be destroyed by flames from the sun war... eh... i dunno... i'm agnostic to this idea... if there is any kind of proof i might change my mind

*****************

Of course when i declare something like this... people always wanna know where it stems from. if its not true then why is the whole world so invested in it? well anyone who knows me knows that i am a firm believer that governments are full of ulterior motives unbeknownst to us as civilians, targets, prey... whatever you wanna call it. but to be honest i don't know why. maybe its fun for the people who control this planet to watch us squirm... maybe fear is a great way to keep a society in check... maybe its so we'll throw caution to the wind, and spend tons of money! hey, we'll all gonna die in a little over a year, so why not buy that car you can't afford, and the jewelry that will sparkle with your shitty personality...

its funny how we're willing to believe that the world will end through natural disasters, but what if i said that on December 21, 2012, our constitution will be burned and an entirely new government will be put in place? what if on that date martial law will be declared, and tanks start ripping and running the streets because the government wants to declare war on us and not because of planetary induced havoc? or what if something amazingly fantastic happens on that date? what if our deficit magically gets paid off? what if everyone collectively switches to solar power? anything can happen! but we're so not open to it

i dunno... but STOP being sheep!! STOP being robots going through the motions!! maybe you don't agree with what i'm saying but just don't allow yourself to be cornfed and brainwashed...

stumbled across this blog...

this is a blog written by a girl named katelin. her blog link is: http://katelinboykin.tumblr.com/post/730873601/in-march-1993-photographer-kevin-carter-made-a

i'm reposting it word for word because i find it very touching

"In March 1993, photographer Kevin Carter made a trip to southern Sudan, where he took now iconic photo of a vulture preying upon an emaciated Sudanese toddler near the village of Ayod. Carter said he waited about 20 minutes, hoping that the vulture would spread its wings. It didn’t. Carter snapped the haunting photograph and chased the vulture away. (The parents of the girl were busy taking food from the same UN plane Carter took to Ayod).

The photograph was sold to The New York Times where it appeared for the first time on March 26, 1993 as ‘metaphor for Africa’s despair’. Practically overnight hundreds of people contacted the newspaper to ask whether the child had survived, leading the newspaper to run an unusual special editor’s note saying the girl had enough strength to walk away from the vulture, but that her ultimate fate was unknown. Carter came under criticism for not helping the girl. ”The man adjusting his lens to take just the right frame of her suffering might just as well be a predator, another vulture on the scene,” read one editorial.

Carter eventually won the Pulitzer Prize for this photo, but he couldn’t enjoy it. Consumed with the violence he’d witnessed, and haunted by the questions as to the little girl’s fate, he committed suicide three months later."

The Population Control Agenda

LINK: http://www.radioliberty.com/pca.htm

there's an essay that was written by Stanley K. Monteith, M.D. about how our government is desperately trying to reduce the number of inhabitants on the globe, and the disgusting tactics that are being used. its very interesting to read and of course brings up some scary points. if u can get past the plugs for his audio books then i recommend that everyone read this. i think its important for everybody to form their own ideas on the topic. i think his ideas are lucid and have some validity. but nonetheless i'm currently looking into his resources to be sure he's not telling half truths.i'm starting with his first subsection, which is about the founder of planned parenthood, margaret sanger. i just bought her book, The Pivot of Civilization... and i also bought the book: Killer Angel, by George Grant, who is a man who is very much against what she stands for... i'm hoping to get a thorough perception in order to form a solid perspective.anyway... here are a few notes on each of his subsections... i'll keep it short, because i want you to read what he actually wrote...
if what's written in this blog is the least bit interesting to u then again i suggest u go to the link that i've provided and read Dr. Monteith's essay... and if you find yourself even more intrigued, then please check into his sources =)

Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood
Basically its saying that margaret sanger was a racist nazi supporter who wanted to purify the "american race" by putting up birth control centers in the inner city... i.e. planned parenthood.

More New-Age InfluenceThis section talks briefly about the georgia guidestones, and how new age thinkers feel about the population explosion

**********************************************************************************************
The Infamous Tuskegee Study* excerpt taken directly from The Population Control Agenda"
"In recent history, we have seen the influence of occultic population control advocates
here in America. Nowhere is that influence better demonstrated than in the Tuskegee Study, a scientific research program in which 400 syphilis-infected black men were recruited by the U.S. Public Health Service back in 1932. The participants were all told that they would be treated for their infections, but instead of treating their illness, all medicines were withheld. The black men were then actively prevented from obtaining treatment elsewhere as their bodies, and the bodies of their wives and children, were systematically ravaged by disease.
The evil men who conceived that Nazi-style study justified their atrocity by alleging that scientists needed to learn how untreated syphilis progressed in the human body. For a period of forty years, between 1932 and 1972, the genocidal Tuskegee Study continued. It was not until 1972, when one newspaper finally had the courage to break the story to the public, that the Tuskegee Study was finally terminated. By that time, only 125 of the original 400 black men had survived."

This part of Dr. Monteith's report also speaks of DDT and how it prevented over 500 million deaths in a little over 20 years... it was a known cure for malaria. no bueno for population-control advocates!

**********************************************************************************************
The Relationship Between Abortion, Breast Carcinoma, and Population Controldid you kno that there is direct corrilation between 1st trimester abortion and breast cancer? apparently its something that is kept secret... we eliminate the birth of children and speed up the deaths of women... killing two birds with one stone. "That is why a minor child can be taken from school to an abortion clinic without parental notification, yet that same child cannot be given an aspirin without parental consent. It all has to do with population control."

**********************************************************************************************
Population Control in Russia Today* excerpt taken directly from The Population Control Agenda
"Another dramatic example of population control is the tragedy being played out in the "former" Soviet Union today in regard to male longevity. In Russia, the life span of the average Russian male has dropped precipitously over the past several decades. The average life expectancy of an American male is 74-78 years of age, and in Japan the average life span is 78 years, but the average life span of Russian men has fallen from 68 years in the 1970s to 63.8 years in 1985, to 57.7 years in 1994. It is estimated that, if current trends continue, the average life span of a Russian male will be 53 years shortly after the turn of the century. Do you really believe that this shocking reduction in life span is happening simply by "accident"? "

question everything!!

*i'm posting this blog as kind of a disclaimer to my future blogs... i'm going to try to post information on this blogsite to open people's eyes. not everything i post will be what i believe because i don't believe anything until i've done my own personal research... i just hope that the things i write about will inspire others become unstuck in old ways, and realize that there's much more that goes on in our world besides whats shown on the nightly news or "keeping up with the kardashians."

in my exploration of our zeitgeist, i've discovered a lot of books, ideas, essays, blogs, etc written that reveal different aspects of how we, as americans, are actually living our lives in complete ignorance and darkness. we are all spooning under this blanketed false sense of security and we're quite content with it. we've said "f*ck the devil" and just handed our souls right over to our very own government.

we smile our plastic smiles... drive cars spewing poisons into our air... wear diamonds that have been washed in other people's blood... force our children to do homework that is laced with lies... feed our families pesticides, toxins, steroids, fat, glucose, fatty acids... and then relax the rest of the evening with a healthy dose of reality television...

we're living the government's idea of the american dream... we've become so distracted and numb to what's really important... we're officially a dumbed down nation of androids...

"i believe, therefore, that a grand game of chess is being played on a level that we can barely imagine, and we are the pawns. pawns are valuable only under certain circumstances and are frequently sacrificed to gain an advantage." - william cooper

what mr. cooper says is true... we are nothing, if not disposable pawns, in this grand scheme.

the saying "ignorance is bliss," is a lie. ignorance is actually just convenient and eventually deadly... its certain death to our spirituality, mentality, emotions, and in the end, our physical selves.

all that being said... i think its important that in everyone's personal quests to find truths under these mountains of lies, that everything read and/or heard is not always taken at face value... question everything! doesn't matter if u agree or disagree with what you're reading or listening to... question everything! because if you don't, then be certain that somebody is brainwashing u.

lies my teacher told me

"people do not like to think. if one thinks, one must reach conclusions... conclusions are not always pleasant" - Helen Keller

Lies My Teacher Told Me is a national bestseller by author James w. Loewen... a book that i'm not quite done w, but has already got the wheels in my head clicking... this blog is just gonna touch on his first chapter entitled: "Handicapped by history"

to sum it up, this chapter is about the herofication in american history txt books... among the 12 most commonly used txt books there is a common thread... the idea that our history is meant to be one of 2-dimensional heroes and not imperfect beings. for whatever reason, the authors of american history txt books do not want us to have complicated icons... instead they provide squeaky clean versions of our past, and to be perfectly honest, i have no idea y?

y wouldn't we wanna know about the depth of those who came before us... okay, maybe i can understand that they don't want us to know about how incredibly racist Woodrow Wilson was. but regardless to what he may have contributed to our country, don't u think its important to know that he made so many mistakes that the American people loathed him? he intervened into Latin America numerous times (more than any other time in history)... he sent secret money into the Russian war... "he effectively closed the democratic party to african americans for 2 decades"... he was president of the only university at the time that refused to admit blacks (princeton)... "he was an outspoken white supremacist".... he also didn't like "hyphenated americans" like irish-americans and german-americans... he stated "any man who carries a hyphen about with him, carries a dagger that he is ready to plunge into the vitals of this Republic whenever he gets ready"... and so much more... in fact, he was so horrible that his successor lost the nxt election in the biggest landslide in American history. James Cox ran against Warren g. Harding, and despite the fact that Harding didn't even campaign, Cox still lost by almost 64% of the majority party votes.

and where did this Betsy Ross bit come from? Betsy Ross did not make the first American flag... that was a story created by her family after she passed so that tourism would come to her small town... she actually has contributed nothing to our history

and what about Helen Keller? we most commonly know her as the woman from Alabama who learned to communicate even though she was unable to see or hear... the American history txt books would like us to think that that was all there was to this extraordinary woman.... they all conveniently leave out the fact that she was a radical socialist... that she realized that the less money u have the more likely u are to suffer from handicaps like blindness. not many kno she was college educated. Keller said: "i have visited sweatshops, factories, crowded slums. if i could not see it, i could smell it." at one point she was revered for learning despite her handicaps, but once she became a socialist, she began to receive a different kind of publicity... the editor of the Brooklyn Eagle, wrote that Keller's "mistakes spring out of the manifest limitations of her development." Keller responded by saying:

"at that time the compliments he paid me were so generous that i blush to remember them. but now that i have come out for socialism he reminds me and the public that i am blind and deaf and especially liable to error. i must have shrunk in intelligence during the years since i met him. oh, ridiculous Brooklyn Eagle! socially blind and deaf. it defends an intolerable system that is the cause of much of the physical blindness and deafness which we are trying to prevent."

needless to say Keller is the opposite of the boring person our txt books make her out to be... and funny enough, she said that Wilson was "the greatest individual disappointment the world has ever known!" makes me wonder what else the books got wrong... i'm reading the nxt chapter now... so so interesting ;)

living an "oil-in-water" or water based lifestyle

so i was reading thru some of my books on spirituality when i thought of something that makes total sense to me...

we all know that life has its ups and downs... some of it is karma and some of it is inevitable. we want to be happy people but the idea that life is perfect is unrealistic.

so i thought to myself: if we know that life is not all roses, then y do we get so incredibly upset when things go wrong? not everything will go our way... and when it doesn't, we feel like the world is collapsing on us and that god hates us and that we're gonna be lonely the rest of our lives, or broke the rest of our lives, or in pain the rest of our lives...

anyway... i figured out something that helps me cope with the down times in my life...
its my "oil-in-water" theory:

here we go ;)
most cosmetic products are either water based or oil based...

water based: is when a product contains mostly water w small drops of oil
(also called oil-in-water)
oil based: is when a product contains mostly oil w small drops of water
(also called water-in-oil)

i decided to apply this idea to life... let's say that:
~ pure water represents "pure happiness"
~ icky oil represents "sadness"

living an oil based life is allowing for a lot of sadness with very little happiness
and living a water based life is allowing for a lot of happiness with very little sadness...

i like living my oil-in-water lifestyle because i know that when something horrible is happening to me, its only a small drop in the big picture of my life... i want to be a sincerely happy person but i need to be realistic about how life works... there will always be ups and downs... the goal is to have more ups than downs... the goal is to live a water based life or happiness based life...

that seems like a mouthful, lol... let me know if it doesn't make sense... i'll try to break it down even more =)

If u don't know your history... you'll be doomed to repeat it

America has this really bad habit of freaking the public out...
to the point of senseless murder...
a controlled mass hysteria...
whether by our government or fellow citizens, it's a scary thing...

watch your back! u never know if you'll be tagged a witch, a freedom fighter, a commie or a terrorist

here's some info on one way history seems to continually repeat itself... all of the info is from wikipedia... i've underlined the reoccurring themes

**************************************************************
Salem Witch Trails
February 1692 to May 1693

The Salem witch trials were a series of hearings before local magistrates followed by county court of trials to prosecute people accused of witchcraft in Essex, Suffolk and Middlesex counties of colonial Massachusetts, between February 1692 and May 1693. The episode has been used in political rhetoric and popular literature as a vivid cautionary tale about the dangers of religious extremism, false accusations, lapses in due process, and governmental intrusion on individual liberties. In Salem Town, over 150 people were arrested and imprisoned, with even more accused but not formally pursued by the authorities. At least five more of the accused died in prison... The courts convicted 29 people of the capital felony of witchcraft. 19 of the accused, 14 women and 5 men, were hanged. One man (Giles Corey) who refused to enter a plea was crushed to death under heavy stones in an attempt to force him to do so.

**************************************************************
Lynching
Nearly 5,000 Blacks were lynched
in the United States between 1860 and 1890

Lynching, as a form of punishment for presumed criminal offenses, performed by self-appointed commissions, mobs, or vigilantes without due process of law took place in the United States before the American Civil War and afterwards, from southern states to western frontier settlements. The term "Lynch's Law" (and subsequently "lynch law" and "lynching") apparently originated during the American Revolution when Charles Lynch, a Virgina justice of the peace, ordered extralegal punishment for Tory acts. In the South, members of the abolitionist movement or other people opposing slavery were usually targets of lynch mob violence before the Civil War. During the war, Southern Home Guard units sometimes lynched white Southerners whom they suspected of being Unionist or deserters; one example of this was the hanging of Methodist minister Bill Sketoe in the south Alabama town of Newton in December 1864.

After the war, southern whites struggled to maintain social dominance. Secret vigilante and insurgent groups such as the KKK instigated extrajudicial assaults and killings to keep power and to discourage freedmen from voting, working and becoming educated. Mobs usually had alleged crimes for which they lynched blacks. In the late 19th century, however, journalist Ida B. Wells showed that many presumed crimes were exaggerated or did not occur.

**************************************************************
McCarthyism
roughly from the late 1940s to the late 1950s
McCarthyism is the politically motivated practice of making accusations of disloyalty, subversion, or treason without proper regard for evidence. The term specifically describes activities associated with the period in the United States known as the Second Red Scare, lasting roughly from the late 1940s to the late 1950s and characterized by heightened fears of communisy influence on American institutions and espionage by Soviet agents. Originally coined to criticize the anti-communist pursuits of U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy, "McCarthyism" soon took on a broader meaning, describing the excesses of similar efforts. The term is also now use more gernerally to describe reckless, unsubstantiated accusations, as well as demagogic attacks on the character or patriotism of political adversaries.

During the post-World War II era of McCarthyism, many thousands of Americans were accused of being Communists or communist sympathizers and became the subject of aggressive investigations and questioning before government or private-industry panels, committees and agencies. The primary targets of such suspicions were government employees, those in the entertainment industry, educators and union activists. Suspicions were often given credence despite inconclusive or questionable evidence, and the level of threat posed by a person's real or supposed leftist associations or beliefs was often greatly exaggerated. Many people suffered loss of employment, destruction of their careers, and even imprisonment. Most of these punishments came about through trial verdicts later overturned, laws that would be declared unconstitutional, dismissals for reasons later declared illegal or actionable, or extra-legal procedures that would come into general disrepute.

Terrorism
right now... duh

***** so my thoughts on terrorism is that its the same thing as McCarthyism... i dunno know if anyone else is saying it, so i will... these days anyone can be tagged a terrorist. and if i'm not mistaken, according to the patriot act, we loose our rights and privacy once the government decides we can't be trusted anymore... meaning being arrested without being charged with anything, no rights to a lawyer, phone and home taps without your knowledge... and god forbid u "look" like a terrorist, because then you're subject to being profiled by anyone off of the street

don't think it effects u? actually the government has a "list" and once you're on it you're screwed... a couple people included on this list include authors exercising their second ammendment rights, soldiers who have dedicated their lives to fighting for this country but maybe disagree with something the military has asked them to do, and i'm pretty sure there is a completely innocent 8 yr old on that list who's been on it since he was 2... trust me... it effects u

wiki's definition of terrorism:
Terrorism is the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion. At present, there is no internationally agreed definition of terrorism. Common definitions of terrorism refer only to those violent acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a lone attack), and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants (civilians).

Some definitons also include acts of unlawful violence and war. The history of terrorist organizations suggest that they do not select terrorism for its political effectiveness. Individual terrorist tend to be motivated more by a desire for social solidarity with other members of their organization than by political platforms or strategic objectives, which are often murky and undefined.

Terrorism has been practiced by a broad array of political organizations for furhtering their objectives. It has been practiced by both right-wing and left-wing political parties. One form is the use of violence against noncombatants for the purpose of gaining publicity for a group, cause, or individual groups, religious groups, revolutionaries and ruling governements.

ALBERT PINE QUOTE:

"What we do for ourselves dies with us.
What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal."

miracles... truth or myth

people who are close to me know that i've been dealing with some pretty serious legal issues for the last two years. i don't know what happened but the best possible outcome has come out of this ordeal. i don't wanna get too much into the details, but the only outcome that could've been better would've been to get the whole case dismissed.

i'm a true blue deist, and until yesterday, i haven't been able to believe in any miracles... i think because everything that happens can be explained away... and also because i don't believe that god micromanages our lives... and even tho i still think he's created the universe, our brains (that we only use 20% of), and our free will for the purpose of us using those things, im beginning to believe that maybe in extreme circumstances he does take a moment to make something miraculous happen...

i should be in prison... but i'm not...

i have a purpose on these streets... i realize that now... hopefully i can live up to that

DEISM

when it comes to religion there's a really unfortunate thing that happens... people only see each end of the spectrum without realizing that the truth of our relationship with a higher power lies in between the two.

there are the people who believe strongly that there is a higher power AND religion... but then the people who don't believe the same decide to write off both religion and a higher power when it doesn't have to be that way at all.

in walks Deism... to some, like thomas paine, deism is still considered a religion... its actually the belief in a higher power and no belief in organized religion...

instead of me going on and on about what this theology is, i'll just refer u to wikipedia... there's really good info there. Here's a portion of it:

"Deism is a religious and philosophical belief that a supreme being created the universe, and that this (and religious truth in general) can be determined using reason and observation of the natural world alone, without a need for either faith or organized religion. Deists tend to, but do not necessarily, reject the notion of divine interventions in human affairs, such as by miracles and revelations. These views contrast with a dependence on revelations, miracles, and faith found in many Jewish, Christian, Islamic and other theistic teachings.

Deists typically reject most supernatural events (prophecy, miracles) and tend to assert that God (or "The Supreme Architect") has a plan for the universe that is not altered either by God intervening in the affairs of human life or by suspending the natural laws of the universe. What organized religions see as divine revelation and holy books, most deists see as interpretations made by other humans, rather than as authoritative sources.

Deism became prominent in the 17th and 18th centuries during the Age of Enlightenment, especially in what is now the United Kingdom, France, United States and Ireland, mostly among those raised as Christians who found they could not believe in either a triune God, the divinity of Jesus, miracles, or the inerrancy of scriptures, but who did believe in one god."

the book Age of Reason by one of our founding fathers, thomas paine, is also a really great reference... he was the one to put a spotlight on deism in america back in the 1800s so i believe he has good incite into this religion... here's one of his quotes:

"the only religion that has not been invented... and that has in it every evidence of divine originality, is pure and simple deism. it must have been the first and will probably be the last that man believes..."

he says of christianity:

it's too "absurd for belief, too impossible to convince and too inconsistent to practice..."

anyway... hope this helps =)
